2018 Chrysler Pacifica New Preview, Design, Pricing, Release Date

2018 Chrysler Pacifica New Preview, Design, Pricing, Release Date - In 2017, Chrysler brought back the Pacifica name and slapped it on an all-new minivan that is shaking up the segment with its flashy looks and industry-first plug-in hybrid variant.

With the Pacifica still fresh, we anticipate the 2018 model being a carryover.

As a carryover, we expect no changes to the look or feel of the 2018 Pacifica. This shouldn’t be an issue, given the modern looks of this new minivan.

We also expect the interior to remain unchanged, as it’ll continue with its upscale feel, roomy third row, and tons of available luxury features.

We also expect no changes to the Pacifica’s standard features. If this proves accurate, it will come standard with 17-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, heated mirrors, keyless entry and ignition, three-zone climate control, a tilt and telescoping steering wheel, a 5-inch touchscreen with rearview camera, and a six-speaker audio system.

The powertrain is another area we expect no changes, so we anticipate seeing the same 3.6-liter V6 with 287 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque.

This engine pairs with a nine-speed automatic transmission that delivers power to the front wheels.

the Pacifica Hybrid is a plug-in hybrid producing 260 hp, a 33-mile EV range, and an 84 mpg-e combined fuel-economy rating.

Safety is another area where the Pacifica excels, as the 2017 model received the Top Safety Pick Plus designation from the IIHS. With no changes on the docket, we assume this rating will remain the same in 2018.

To get this rating, however, buyers must opt for the Advanced SafetyTec Group package on the Touring-L Plus or Limited trim, which includes the all-important automatic emergency braking.

While there is nothing official on the 2018 Pacifica’s production dates, we expect it to kick off in August 2017 and start rolling into showrooms in September.

With no changes in store, we expect the 2018 Pacifica’s prices to stay close to the 2017 model, which ranged from $30,090 to $43,990 (destination fees included).

To help drag buyers from the competition, Chrysler is offering $1,000 in conquest cash for current Honda, Kia, Toyota, and VW owners – this deal may still be around when the 2018s hit showroom floors.
