Legacy, on the other hand, is a great case study in why Subaru sell cars to people who have never considered themselves someday-rally-driver or autocrossers or soft-road adventurers. The problem is, it's hard to pin down what, exactly, makes working Legacy. Visually, it is a snoozer, a detained three box sedan design that, without them, can be used in architectural rendering - you know, the situations in which they do not want to show the car is immediately recognizable. On paper, we have a four-cylinder Legacy 175 hp and 174 lb-ft must be a poor match for the continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) and heavy all-wheel drive system. In fact, it was fine. In fact, it encourages-you-in-your-seat sharp off the line, something that is common for CVT equipped Subaru.
