If there is a better car for the money, show me. To date, the GT350 is as far as I'm concerned. This great-looking thing, just glorious machine (I do not buy the idea that the best flat V8s rough idle) and the ride / handling balance is about perfect. Ditto the brakes and steering. No complaints. car goes exactly where pointed without dead spots at the helm. So instantly and easily.
You have to rev it. Not much going under, say, 4,000 rpm - but after that, oh baby. He shouted and revs seemingly forever. The good thing is pretty slick six-speed manual to keep and the clutch is light enough to make slogging around town easily on the left leg.

Driving modes - normal, sport, track, weather and drag - adjusts throttle, steering and damper. Switching between them does not seem to make a whole lot of difference to my ass. the body remains flat and composed all the time but not at the expense of comfort - the ride quality was fine. In fact, I left it on normal for the most part and just had a ball. The cabin - stylish and constructed from several grades above the old car - added to the joy.
I would not bother with the GT350R? I will not. I would save $ 8K and has a user-friendly GT350 more, but that's just me.
